The main cliff of Craig y Castell is situated directly above Tremadog school. The routes on Craig y Castell are high quality and the crag has possibly the best hard severe in the area of Tremadog (Creagh Ddu Wall). The cliff is less popular than than the crags that are closer to Eric's Cafe, with this perhaps being an added attraction.
