Near to the National Mountain Centre, Plas y Brenin, are the broken crags of Creigiau’r Gelli, which consist of compact ribs and a steep main slab (Diamond Slab). This broken area of hillside lies east of the Llynnau Mymbyr crags.
Basil Brush takes the cleanest, most compact rib, and looks quite inviting. I soloed the easiest route, The Temptation of St Julitta, before heading to the Beacon to crush some chalk and get tired quickly. The RAC boulders looked busy as I drove past on my way to the Beacon.
