Ogwen Boulder Bank | Snowdonia National Park |
The ‘Ogwen Boulder’ at
Ogwen bank has good rock that is similar in nature to "
Braichmelyn Boulder". The boulder
is split by two cracks, which are the warm-up routes and can be climbed from
sit-down starts. The outstanding line on the boulder is ‘Tavistock Square’
V6/7/7a/+, which climbs a line just right of the central crackline. ‘Tavistock
Square’ begins with a sit-down start (left hand on the arête & right fingers curled in the obvious flake) to then slap up to a hold out right (extended move),
which then climbs to better holds and the top.
