Bouldering & Dyno Moves at Mid-Height

I’ve recently been climbing with Nik on the indoor wall. We were mostly climbing boulder problems, with some of the boulder problems reaching mid-height on the wall. On one of the boulders problems, there was a sequence of moves that led to a dyno move at mid-height, which meant we needed to put extra mats on the floor, so as to cushion any dyno falls! It definitely increased our confidence being able to make what appears to be committing moves at mid-height, whilst subconsciously knowing that there will be a relatively safe landing onto a pile of mats, should we fall! We did fall, on several occasions, but eventually we both climbed the dyno move, which was progress and felt good. We then continued with the same sequence of moves that led up to the dyno move, each time trying to climb quicker and more efficiently, whilst at the same time not over gripping the holds.
